From Walt Disney Action Studios comes “Moana,” a sweeping, CG-animated affection blur about an adventuresome jailbait who sails out on a adventuresome mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voice of Auli’i Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her adventure to become a adept wayfinder. Together, they captain beyond the accessible ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering astronomic monsters and absurd odds, and forth the way, Moana fulfills the age-old adventure of her ancestors and discovers the one affair she’s consistently sought: her own identity. Directed by the acclaimed filmmaking aggregation of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “Aladdin,” “The Angel & the Frog”) and produced by Osnat Shurer (“Lifted,” “One Man Band”), “Moana” sails into theaters on Nov. 23, 2016.
